Two Thousand and Fourteen

2014

 

It's been a pretty good year so far!

We were able to pay off all of our medical bills with our tax return, which has been a huge weight off our shoulders.  It was taking a lot out of us every month to make payments.  We were also finally able to buy a new computer.  Our laptop crashed months ago and we've really missed having a computer.  Filling out applications on your phone isn't fun.

 

Davin is still working hard at two jobs.  He loves being a firefighter and we hope he can get on somewhere full time sooner than later.  We expected it to take awhile but it's still hard to wait.

 

We're both hoping to go to school part time this fall.  We'll see how that plays out.

 

Ava is almost four.  She loves preschool and asks if it's a school day every morning.  She's learning a ton.  She can write her own name, recognizes about half the letters and quite a few numbers.  She loves to sing and I'm always impressed at how well she remembers lyrics from her favorite songs.  It's cute to listen to her sing along to the radio in the car.  She is always asking "why" and "what", she wants to know everything!

 

Sundae is seventeen months.  She says words like "ball" "mama" "Eddie" and "Hiiiii" but doesn't put any of them together yet.  She is all over the place though.  The Dr tells me she's advanced in her motor skills and that's why she's not talking yet.  She's concentrating on getting into everything.  She is still a horrible sleeper.  She's slept all the way through the night a total of twice.  Ever. It's exhausting and I'm looking forward to the day where I'm not exhausted in the morning.

Ava is a big fan of selfies these days. 

It's been really warm for February, often getting up to sixty degrees.  We've been spending a lot of time outside and it's amazing!
