Last month was National Adoption Month.
I had planned to write a long, heartfelt post about why I love adoption so much and how it's such a large and important part of my life and how I believe when it comes to abortion vs. adoption, adoption is the best choice. Every time.
BUT I don't have time.
I just don't. I have so much unpacking/cleaning to do, Sundae is being blessed tomorrow, I am not prepared for Christmas, etc. etc.
And so I will leave you with this video that pretty much sums up adoption.
DON'T LEAVE!
If you're like me you skip the videos people post on their blogs.
This one is short and to the point, please watch it.
Or, if you can't watch it right now read the words, I'll post them underneath.
The only thing I disagree with in this video is the last line.
I'm no superhero.
"Not every mother can be a Mom, and not every Mom gets to be a Mother.
It doesn't seem fair, but life can be like that.
And we all just do what we can with the hand we've been dealt.
But maybe every once in awhile a Mom and a Mother will find each other
and join hands
and be for the other what they can't be for themselves.
'Cause even if she's not ready to be a Mom, a Mother can be strong.
And brave.
She can turn nine months into a lifetime
and a couple into a family.
Maybe that's easier said than done.
But then, being a superhero always is."

I've always thought it was amazing that you made this choice for your daughter. I know it had to have been the hardest thing you've ever done and I don't know where you found the strength, but it's inspiring. I do know that you love her more than she could ever know. I think you're at least a little bit superhero :)
