Our last apartment was 600 square feet. Six hundred square feet for three people is NOT MUCH. We didn't have room for any kind of table in that apartment so all of our eating was done in the living room. On my once beautiful microfiber love seat.
I found this pin on pinterest and knew I had to try it.
Guess what? It worked!
I used a white cloth diaper (the ones people use as burp rags) instead of a white sponge and it worked great! The left side is what both sides looked like...I was SO embarrassed any time someone came over! Now I can be proud of my nice loveseat again!

Oooohhh that looks great! I love it when tips you find on pinterest actually work! hooray! Currently we don't own couches...our newly painted and carpeted living room remains furniture-less. But someday I will need to remember this tip!
